Reading an article requires no account and no personal details. Our hosting provider Vercel (USA/EU) processes your IP address and browser data to deliver the page and keeps short-lived server logs for security.
We advertise on Facebook and Instagram and measure which ads lead to a visit and, later, to an order on kindplans.com. For that we use the Meta Pixel and Meta’s Conversions API. The banner on your first visit lets you accept or decline: if you decline, no pixel is loaded and no advertising events are sent. If you accept, Meta receives the page you are on, your IP address, browser user agent and Meta’s own cookies (_fbp, _fbc). Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. and Meta Platforms Inc. act as independent controllers for this data; see facebook.com/privacy/policy.
We also keep a first-party reading record in our own database (Supabase, EU): an anonymous session id stored in your browser, which article you read, how far you scrolled, whether you clicked through, and the ad parameters that brought you here. No cookies are used for this and it is not shared with third parties; records are deleted after 12 months.
When you follow a link from an article to kindplans.com, your cookie choice travels with the link so you are not asked twice. Besides this we use no analytics and no third-party cookies. You can change your choice by clearing your browser data for this site.
You can ask us to show, correct or delete the data we hold about you at hello@kindplans.com. Residents of California and other US states with privacy laws can also ask what data we hold, request its deletion, and will not be treated differently for doing so. Residents of the EU/EEA have the rights under the GDPR (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection) and can complain to a supervisory authority.
